A special story from Convention....

One of the events that all the schools must compete in is Pace Bowl.  They form a team of 4 students, and are given questions from Math, Science, Social Studies, and English that they must answer.

Our Pace Bowl team was awarded 3rd place.

3rd Place trophy

After this final rally, we packed up our suitcases, and were waiting on our bus to arrive to take us home.

Diego came to me, along with the other members of the team, and said "Miss, we need to talk to you.  We want to give this trophy to Pebbles and Stones (the school they beat in the 2nd match).  When we played against them, we had already had some of the questions in the first match, so we knew those answers."

We asked Pebbles and Stones team from Pace Bowl to come and talk with us.  Diego explained to them, that they did not feel they won fairly, and that they wanted Pebbles and Stones to have the trophy.

The other team was surprised, and looked at my kids and said "Really?!  Are you sure?"

Here they are passing the trophy to the team from Pebbles and Stones

The teams from both schools, together with the 3rd place trophy.

This sure did make me proud of my kids!
