God wants to be my Passion!
This morning I was studying from a devotional and it was talking about worship. I love this statement: "God showed me true worship isn't something I go out and do; it's something I live." by Shannon Alford from the Gateway Church devotions Love Expressed.
As I continued reading this study about living worship, God began to show me some things in my life. Walls that I have put up. I saw how my worship only goes so far and then there is a wall that I have put there. He wants to break these down.
I have to SURRENDER to have FREEDOM!
I opened my Bible and found some verses that I had been stuck in for a while last year. I knew I needed to be in them, reading them over and over but I never saw what God needed me to see in them, until today.
Isaiah 58:6-14 - Here is what God spoke to me this morning as I read these verses again:
Freedom! God wants to set the oppressed free, he wants to break off every yoke. I must let him free me, I have to walk in freedom before I can lead others to His freedom. God wants to be my Passion. When I put Him first in my life, when I walk with him first before anything else takes my time, when I am in relationship with Him, then I will find the Joy of the Lord. All the things I pray for here, for the kids at Ruach, for all the city of Comayagua and the county of Honduras... for them to know God, to teach the kids to rise up and be a light, to see that light shining and others finding their way to God and to freedom, this will happen when we are seeking after God, when He is our first desire.
When I make God my Passion, then I will find my joy in the Lord!
Isaiah 58:14 "then you will find your joy in the Lord...."

Vacation School
I know.....oxymoron. But here we are, it is vacation between last school year and the next school year and I have kids who didn't complete their work, so we are in school. Can I say I love it!
I love these kids! I have one from Narnia, I have a pumpkin, my sons, Sam I Am, Sandy Bo Bandy, Honey, and about 10 more... and I love each one of them! Some of them need more encouragement, need more attention, need someone to say I believe in you, I love you, you are special.
Every day I thank God for letting me be here! I know there will be hard days this year, days that I miss being with my family, days that I cry because of the pain I carry for these kids, days I am frustrated and at the end of my patience, days I will feel exhausted, but still I will say Thank you God! I can't express how blessed I feel to be given this opportunity to share with these kids, to show them how Jesus loves them, to pray for them...
As I am writing this I have a CD playing and this line from the song says how I feel...
"...it's my joy, to know your ways, to be your hands and feet to a world in need, so I will live to follow you to see your work in me complete , because you met me, right where I was you met me, even in my sin you loved me, before the earth was formed you knew my name, this is my response to worship, to give you everything..." It is my joy always!

" knowing that I am not the one in control gives great encouragement. knowing the one who is in control is everything" - Alexander Aichael
My sister posted this on her Facebook page recently. So true! I am so glad He takes care of all the details! And I know that he does....
Last year when I had a blood clot in my leg, Dr. Lang just happened to sit beside my sister during church. He made some suggestions to her and told her some things for me to ask my doctor here in Honduras.
When I was going back to Texas for Christmas I knew I wanted to see a doctor because I still had many questions. Some had been answered here, but I wanted answers in English so I knew I was really understanding. And I still was experiencing pain and a heavy feeling in my leg and that really concerned me.
I don't have a doctor in the states, so I really didn't know who to go to. So I asked my sister to see if I could get an appointment with the doctor who had accidentally sat by her at church last year. (No accident! God knew!!)
I went to see Dr. Lang and was able to give me a lot of information and explanations about veins and blood flow and blood clots. He also noticed some symptoms of a thyroid problem and ordered some blood work, along with another sonogram of my leg to be sure there were not clots causing the pain I have felt over the past year.
No Clot!! He determined the pain was from inflammation, and put me on a plan to deal with that. Also thyroid medicine and some natural food supplements to help my veins. On each visit, he spent more than an hour with me, then discounted his bill! What a blessing Dr. Lang is!
Yes, I am glad God is in control of everything!
