Last Friday we divided the grades up, and we were all assigned a Department in Honduras to represent. We would decorate and sell typical foods for that area. It was a lot of fun for the kids.

It was a good time to get to know some kids you don't always get to spend time with and enjoy the kids you are with every day! It was also fun to see their talents in decorating, cooking and coming up with ideas and solving problems about how to decorate, how to raise money, and make for a fun day!

Miss Dunia and I worked with part of the 8th grade and the 4th grade students. We were representing Cortez. We sold coconuts, banana bread, bananas and ...I forget the name...they are like a fried tortilla topped with a sweet red syrup. They are really good!

We also had some coconut candy...not enough to sell, but Tifany brought it to share with our tent. Oh delicious!

We had lots of great food to sell, parents and families of the kids came that day to buy food and enjoy the time with their kids. The money we raised was used to pay for the parties we had today with the primary grades to celebrate Dia de Nino (day of the child).
