The Lord is close to the broken hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.  Psalm 34:18

I like this verse because when I get depressed I read it and I start meditating on the verse and I know that the Lord is beside me, and it’s not worth [it] to get depressed.  And I know even I do bad things when I ask him to forgive my contrite spirit, He’ll do it.
