We tried a new fruit this week. It is "lechi". I had never tried them before. Many times you see people selling them in little bags on the side of the highway. Alysha and I were at the store the other night and decided to get some to try. We
asked Katherine, one of the Honduran teachers, how to eat them.

They are really good. You have to break it open to get to the fruit.

Here you can see the fruit that is inside. It resembles a grape inside. If you peeled a green grape, but it is larger than a grape. Similar in flavor and texture. And then it has a seed inside about the size of an almond. We couldn't decide if you were supposed to eat the seed or not (many fruits here people eat the seeds), we decided we liked them better without the seed.
